Mrs. Amanda-Sheehan Mathematician embraces RPS
Mrs. Amanda Sheehan is a new addition to the Rutgers Prep Mathematics Department. She teaches multiple classes among which are AP Calculus AB and Post-AP Multivariable Calculus.
Prior to joining Rutgers Prep, Mrs. Sheehan taught at the Hyde School in Connecticut where she was a math teacher and a girls’ soccer and basketball coach. She comments that the Rutgers Prep lifestyle is “very different. My past school was a co-ed boarding school where I lived in the dorms with students.”
Even though it has only been 3 weeks of school, students have commented on her helpfulness, kindness, and humor.Because of her job at a boarding school, she also is open to either staying late or coming in early to help students excel in her classes.
Outside of Rutgers Prep, Mrs. Sheehan is pursuing a Master’s degree and enjoys knitting, cooking, baking, and working out.
She is thrilled to be a Rutgers Prep teacher. We are excited to see her on campus!
